H 1 Control of Multirate Sampled - Data Systems : A Riccati Equation
نویسندگان
چکیده
A Riccati-equation based state-space solution to the H 1-optimal control problem for periodic multirate sampled-data systems is presented. The solution is characterized by two standard discrete algebraic Ric-cati equations with a set of associated matrix positive deeniteness conditions and coupling criteria. The equations are derived by discretizing a pair of coupled periodic Riccati diierential equations with jumps, which characterize the H 1-optimal controller. An important feature of the proposed solution is the fact that the so-called causality constraint, which is imposed on the controller structure in lifting-based solutions, is automatically satissed. Instead, the solutions to the algebraic Riccati equations are required to satisfy a set of matrix positive deeniteness and coupling conditions, which are easy to check.

After its original formulation in [1], the H ∞-optimization problem has drawn great attention (see e.g. [2]-[12] and the references cited therein). Several approaches have been reported in order to solve this important design problem for a variety of systems types. In particular, the H ∞-control problem for discrete-time and sampled-data singlerate and multirate systems has successfully been tr...
متن کاملThe Sampled-data H 1 Problem: a Uniied Framework for Discretization Based Methods and Riccati Equation Solution
A new discretization based solution to the sampled-data H 1 control problem is given. In contrast to previous solution procedures, the method is not based on the lifting technique. Instead, an equivalent nite-dimensional discrete problem representation is derived directly from a description of the sampled-data system. This is achieved via a closed-loop expression of the worst-case intersample d...
متن کاملH 1 Design of General Multirate Sampled-data Control Systems
Direct digital design of general multirate sampled-data systems is considered. To tackle causality constraints, a new and natural framework is proposed using nest operators and nest algebras. Based on this framework explicit solutions to the H 1 and H 2 multirate control problems are developed in the frequency domain.
